The underbelly of New York has much the same grit and strength one sees in its people. One can often find subterranean layers of identity in great cities which have evolved over the last hundred odd years to what they are.
New York like many modern cities was built on steel and sweat. And a will of its people and ambition that’s indomitable.
As much as this cities’ ties to art, design and style is intrinsic, so too it’s identity that has been built on substance and belief.
